Because LASIK treatment permanently alters your vision, you want the best. The quality of our surgery and high level of personal attention we provide patients have resulted in our reputation as a center of excellence throughout the Pacific Northwest.
At Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute we provide premium care and treat patients as we would like to be treated. We do not take shortcuts to save a dollar and we don't believe in the ethics of discounting fees to simply increase volume of procedures. Our surgeons give more of themselves and their skills—not less. Your family eye doctor will agree that saving a few dollars with a laser center that cuts corners is not worth the risk.
We do not advertise or promote our services to the general public. Instead, as a highly specialized eye center, Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute accepts patients only on the recommendation and referral of their family optometric physician.
Your Family Eye Doctor
Your family eye doctor will:
  • Evaluate your vision goals to determine if you are a good candidate
  • Perform numerous eye tests and then share the results with the surgeon
  • Document any pertinent information from your vision history for our surgeon
  • Perform important follow-up examinations at prescribed intervals to ensure proper healing.
  • Closely monitor key aspects of your vision during your recovery to ensure that you achieve the best possible outcome
Please discuss with your family eye doctor the fees he or she has established for the crucial care provided to LASIK patients.
Our Fee for Surgery
Our fee for surgery is $1400 per eye and includes:
  • In-depth pre-operative consultation and testing—in addition to what your referring doctor provides
  • The surgical procedure
  • Standard medications and eye drops
  • Availability of our doctors for care of any complication that may occur during the healing period
  • Free enhancement treatment for life—if it is needed. This is available as long as you are under the care of an optometric physician and are examined annually.
For your convenience it may be possible to make one payment for all the care associated with LASIK. Our surgeons, and over 600 family eye doctors, have contracted with Pacific Eyecare Network to collect a single payment—then reimburse them according to their normal charges. This global billing arrangement also makes it possible for you to finance the entire fee to spread the cost over several months or years.
